Ready for your dose of Caulipower?! Cool name guys.

I've heard a lot of hype over Cauliflower Pizza during the last year or so but, I am not easily convinced. I'm a New Yorker and trust me when I tell you that I love my gosh darn Pizza. Bread, tons of tomato, cheese... there's nothing quite like a New York slice. When I move to the West Coast I had a hard time, they blame it all on the water. Getting on board with Cauliflower Pizza was a bit much for me but I decided to give it a try because I love eating healthy and I try to add food in my diet that delivers nutrients.

Here's the pizza before I put it in the oven:

Here's after:

Here's me being cute and stuff:

My thoughts:

Honestly, I don't plan to give up my NYC pizza anytime soon. With that being said I could see myself including Caulipower Pizza into my regular diet. Cauliflower delivers some amazing nutrients. It's full of antioxidants like vitamin C and manganese, and even has phytonutrients, vitamin K, and omega-3.  I could incorporate Caulipower Pizza more often into my daily life than traditional pizza without feeling guilty. I'll save my NYC slices for cheat days being that I try to eat healthy throughout most of the week. This cauliflower pizza tastes good and easily satisfies my pizza craving. Caulipower didn't disappoint. It was very fresh for an oven pizza and you could eat a lot more of this than DiGiorno (still love you) if you're counting calories.

Purses inspired by food bloggers on Instagram you say? Yes, it's a thing. RommydeBommy is a food inspired handbag collection that is impeccably detailed and sophisticated. Find some of your favorite foods & snacks such as Avocado Toast, Sushi, Pizza, & more in Rommy's collection. These purses are a foodies dream.

I was very impressed when I discovered that the designer of RommydeBommy, Rommy, makes these purses by hand. She is 27 years old and is currently located in the Netherlands.

A Mexican Bar & Eatery In New York That Makes You Feel Like You're On A Little Getaway.

Sometimes it's hard to find a place that you love to go eat so when you do, you must cherish it. My Fiance took me to 'Las Catrinas'  in Astoria, Queens, about two months ago and I've been back at least 4 times since. The Mexican food inspired by Tulum style street food & authentic Mexican cuisine is amazingly fresh and delicious. The drinks are to die for! Probably one of my favorite spots for unique, strong drinks in Queens. They don't hold back.

Monday Morning Matcha!

Monday morning can be a bit tough for everyone sometimes. Your bed probably feels like the most comfortable thing in the world and you're dreading getting up. This is around the time you'll decide caffeine is your superhero. Besides coffee, if you like tea 'matcha' is a wonderful caffeine alternative. Matcha is usually sold in powder form and has to be mixed with hot water just under a boil. However, on days that you're in a rush and don't want to deal with hot water, it would be quicker to drink MatchaBar bottled matcha.

I bumped into Matchabar at the Specialty Fancy Food Show a few days ago and I enjoyed their drink very much. Matchabar is a ceremonial grade, hand-picked, farm to bottle product. They have "Original Matcha" as well as other flavors such as "Hint of Honey Matcha" & "Apple Ginger Matcha." The drinks provide what they call "Better Energy."

I used Matchabar's "Original Matcha" along with Elmhurst Almond Milk, which I also learned about at the Specialty Fancy Food Show, to make a quick and delicious Iced Matcha Latte. Enjoy the video below.

P.S. Here are some well known benefits of matcha.

-High in Antioxidants.
-Loaded with Catechin, EGCg.
-Enhances Calm.
-Boosts Memory and Concentration.
-Increases Energy Levels and Endurance.
-Burns Calories.
-Detoxifies the Body.
-Fortifies the Immune System.

Cheers!
