Hello Nubians,

I LOVE playful fashion and feeling youthful, this is one of the many reasons I'm inspired by Japanese Style. All the colors, characters, texture, and emotion that goes into the clothing make me happier when I wear it.

This year at New York Comic Con it was great seeing Pammy Cakes Boutique: Fairy Kei & Casual Lolita Boutique booth set up! She was absolutely killing 'em with utter cuteness. It isn't her first time at Comic Con and it isn't her first time on NubiasNonsense either, if you remember I interviewed her HERE.

Pammy Cakes Boutique contains t-shirts with characters and saying such as "Lolita, Come Out and Play" or "So Kawaii" she also carries beautiful full tulle skirts with bows and other embellishments. There's also a nice array of jewelry and bracelets. Some of the jewelry has Berries & Choco Cake, Lemon Cake, Cupcakes, it looks so delicious I want to eat it! There's also a lot of cute pearl earrings and bracelets. Hair bows, and cat ears are also sold among other accessories.... I mean seriously, KAWAII!!!!! It's like a little piece of Japan located in NYC.

Above see Pamela Jackson owner and designer of Pammy Cakes Boutique striking a pose for us at her booth at New York Comic Con. I mean, look at her in that pink wig and cat ears from her collection! She's adorable. We happen to know that she loves cosplay and dressing up for all occasions too.

We have our eye on that enormous bow.

We were completely smitten with this unicorn tee and its My Little Pony vibes. It was one of her best sellers at Comic Con, she sold out of them.

We need a pair of those heart shape earrings with the pearl asap!

Some awesome Comic Con cosplayers shopping at her booth stopped to strike a pose.

We hope to see her again next October at New York Comic Con 2015. Can't wait to see what new merchandise she'll carry.

We pulled this little questionnaire from her site below for you to get to know her better. Click to enlarge :)

Make sure to follow her online Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest

Hey Guys!

Today was the first day of New York Comic Con. It was a great, productive and very tiring day. Productive days are always draining but satisfying, therefore they're worth it.

I didn't want to keep my lovely readers which I adore and appreciate so much waiting, so I decided to highlight some of the things I did today. I will make more detailed post later in the week including a giveaway!
I'd like to cover the obvious first. Besides going to any specific panel or booth, there is always the general atmosphere of Comic Con. If you have been to any Comic Con before, I'm sure you know what I mean. Everyone is in their zone. Here are some cool photographs I took.
These ladies below did a great job!
Very cute Lolita below in the Anime Festival.
I absolutely LOVE Ugly Dolls

Nathan Sawaya has breathtaking Lego sculptures. He will be exhibiting his work at Agora gallery in Chelsea November 23-December 14.

How wicked is this dress?! it almost looks like she doesn't have legs.

I met with Jessica Smiley from Mimobot. She was an amazing, lovely person and very helpful and informative. I will be doing a more detailed post talking about these adorable USB memory flash drives below AND I WILL BE GIVING AWAY A 4GB one away as well courtesy of Mimobot. Thanks Guys!

I attended a Lolita 101 Panel. It was extremely informative. I really understood the Aesthetic behind Lolita inspired fashion even better then I did before. I will be going more into detail with this later as well.

Below you can see the booth for Okamiden. It's a really neat game where you literally draw color into your world (in the game world that is) Eric Monacelli was lovely to speak with and encouraged me to email him if I had any questions. Maybe I will try to maybe get a Q and A going. They have lost wolf flyers hanging all over Comic Con to promote the game, it's so cute.
Below is a cute lolita inspired girl.

I also went to a Bill Plympton panel. I must admit I wasn't very familiar with his work although I had heard great things, but he really won me over. He showed clips of his upcoming work and talked about his movie Idiots and Angels which you can see NOW in the IFC theatre. The New York Times is calling his movie "RELENTLESS AND BRILLIANT". If you would like The New York Times review you can click here. Plympton said during his panel, that he will be in the IFC theater everyday when his movie plays and he's willing to talk to anyone that would like to learn more about him and his work. This Oscar nominated man is extremely approachable which is something I ALWAYS value in people. Spread the word on his film.
Comic Con is so much to take in. I will be updating all through the week. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments or email me personally. Also Follow Me On Twitter for more #NYCC updates .

P.S I will be dressing up "Punisher Inspired" tomorrow.

Hello Nubians,

(Crazy cool Mr. Sinister cosplay)

I had so much fun this past weekend at New York Comic Con! I have a lot of interesting post lined up and I wanted to start with one featuring some of my favorite cosplay costumes I saw during the convention. From DC comics to Marvel to film and video games, it was a fascinating year.

I went to the very first New York Comic Con and it's definitely been interesting to see how it's grown in every single aspect. I didn't cosplay at the very first convention but I've been doing it for many years now. Cosplay is a beautiful thing because costumes are cool and who the hell said they can only be worn during Halloween? Cosplay allows you to celebrate things you're a fan of such as writing or art, video games, comics, films and many times you end up giving it your own twist. Cosplay also brings people together. Just like any hobby, you find people who are into it and you end up making a ton of friends and having intense conversations about how you put your looks together and what inspired you.

New York Comic Con doesn't disappoint in the cosplay department. Though there are always some days that are better than others, I always walk out with a handful of things minimum that completely blew my mind.

Enjoy the photos below, more to come soon.

Super cute Mega Man babe.

Disney Love -Kingdom Hearts.

Aladdin and myself as Fantastic Mrs Fox.

Awesome rocker Harley Quinn. So in Love with that The Joker Jacket. Might try to make something similar eventually.

I've been seeing this guy for years. Never know what to call him. Ronald Mc Thor? Thor Mc Donald? Whatever, he's great.

Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg from The Fifth Element

Another cosplay Vet here. The great Hulkbuster. He went on to win some sort of cosplay contest during the convention. Ahead of him you'll see a pretty Psylocke.

Pretty sweet looking Hawkgirl.

Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Baby Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Little Deadpool and Hey look that's me! Cosplaying as Ghostrider.

Poor Superman.

Naruto fans are intense.

This Jason Voorhees meant business! Scary.

Dark Alice In Wonderland.

Wonder Woman and Wonder Baby Girl.

Myself as Gambit and a very awesome Carnage from Spiderman.

Wonder Woman, Hawk Girl, Killer Frost, and Dead Shot.

Barry Allen AKA The Flash.

Dead Pool Party.

Great times at the convention this year. I love to see how people step their game up every year at Comic Con. If you saw any out of this world cosplay this year at New York Comic Con please feel free to share below.

Cheers!
