Nubia's Nonsense: violetdoll

Hello Nubians,

A scarf and sunglasses can add so much glamour to an outfit can't it? I certainly think so! The outfit below would probably look so bland and boring without the fun, colorful, vivid scarf.

My friend Adriana started up a shop called Violet Doll and I stopped by and styled a few outfits for myself just for fun. I enjoy styling and playing around with accessories often haha yeah, it's why this blog exist. It was lots of fun and this was one of the looks I put together. Simple yet stylish... fairly simple for me... My style is kinda cray cray sometimes.

Rocking these bracelets reminded me how much I love charm bracelets but don't really own any... I'll have to fix that soon =)

Hello Nubians,

Not quite sure what I make of this. But I'm about to spill 2 facts on you about me....

1) I love jumpsuits.
2) I really love old school loud patterns similar to the ones I saw on The Cosby's growing up. I think I can picture Lisa Bonet in this ensemble. Big ups to tribal patterns.

Anyway I thought this building lobby was the perfect place to shoot this outfit. The color scheme is awesome and it's pretty.

The ring above is a cigar ring inspired by cigar bands. Back in the day ladies would take cigar bands off the cigars and loop them around their fingers as bands to emulate the Queen.

Hello Dear Nubians,

I love color! Those of you who have been following this blog know that fact well and I also love rocking white during the summer time.

This particular dress is from Violet Doll an online boutique with a lot of affordable stylish pieces that I've been digging lately.

Since the dress is quite short and a statement pieces on it's own, paired it up with a medallion necklace and a pair of gladiator heels I thought fit the mood nicely.

The back of the dress is identical to the front. It looks like a butterfly of some sort or a tie-dye explosion. Something about it even reminds me of a scene out of Donnie Darko with some color added to it, Ha! A little dark yet colorful if that makes any sense at all? At this point I may just be rambling... or maybe it's some water color paint thrown into water and left unattended to just mix and swirl together freely. As you may be able to tell the dress speaks to me.
