Hey Nubians,

So much good mascara, so little time. Recently I purchased New York Color (NYC) BIG BOLD LASH and L'Oréal MISS MANGA at my local Walgreens. I noticed the New York Color mascara promised 12x bigger lashes while the L'Oréal promised 15x. I thought it would be fun to do a review and try it out with you guys on video.

Let me know which Mascara you think won this battle by watching the video below.

Hey Nubians,

You Like Hair? SO DO I.

Therefore I like doing fun things to my hair all the time like using Scünci Hair Chalk.

Sometimes when I don't do something new to my hair, I get overly bored which can get dangerous leading to hair-dye jobs and dry hair etc. These days I like to look for non-permanent solutions which is why I turned to hair chalk.

Find out how I got this cute cupcake/My Little Pony inspired top knot hairstyle with pink and purple pastel-ish colors by watching the video below. Subscribe to my NubTube HERE.

Hello Nubians,

Every year I'm so very excited to see the cosplayers at New York Comic Con. I've also noticed that every year people are getting more and more creative/innovative with their costumes when it comes to signs, making their own costumes instead of buying ones from the store, and also mixing and matching different characters into one costume which is pretty cool. I can't wait to dress up next year myself, I really want to cook up something special.

This year the lovely and talented Theresa Taylor went behind the lens for NubiasNonsense to show us so of the kooky, crazy, and high spirited cosplayers. Let's take a look at a couple of the magical moments she captured.

Warning: Extremely Awesome Content Below. Viewers Advised.

This just married Dead Pool couple is Ah-MAZ-ing. They're also either fans of Sir Mix-A-lot or Nicki Minaj... or both. My Anaconda Don't Want None Unless You Got Buns Hun!

Beariel! Such a babe. We must grab some oysters one day under the sea.

Kawaii!

Child's Play. This Chucky is creepy as hell. I would have preferred the see a wig and some makeup on the face but it's scary Nonetheless.

Tomb Raiders! The one on the left even has polygon boobs, PlayStation 1 days.

DC kids. The Riddler, Robin, Catwoman, Batman, Nightwing.

What a lovely pair. These cosplayers look like The Dark Knight Rises Christian Bale and Anne Hatheway.

Threesome.

Rogue, Hey Sugar ;-)

Wolveine vs Sith Girl.

Scorpion says: GET OVER HERE! Where is the rest of the Mortal Kombat crew?

Our good friend Dane as the Assassins Creed Joker.

THIS guy is awesome. Red Hulk I'm guessing? Check out the toes!

Dorimon!

Teen Titans Raven.

Catwoman.

The cutest damn Logan you'll ever see. Wolverine, X-Men.

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!

Dragon Ball Z, Goku.

Bang! Bang!

Captain Jack Sparrow!

Hey Bulma, Did you run into Goku?

Here are just a few of many amazing photos from this years New York Comic Con 2014. Make sure to check out my other blog Pop! Goes The Nubia too. The time and dedication put into all of this is bananas!

A big thanks to Theresa Taylor!  Make sure to Follow her online Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr.

Hello Nubians,

As much as New York Comic Con is about panels, artist and well ummm, DUH Comics! They're doing a great job catering to us ladies when it comes to taking a break and pampering yourself.

New York Comic Con already has tons of booths with clothing to feed your fashion needs. The clothing isn't just comic and pop culture related either. You can find some cool vintage booths, victorian inspired garments, and very fashion forward unique japanese looking styles that make my eyes want to fill up with tears while I yell out "KAWAII!" at the same damn time. Cosplayers are also running all over the place for your visual inspiration. Now I'm noticing they're really starting to get the beauty department on lock too.  I was pleased to find the brands below had booths.

NYX Cosmetics
I'm a big fan of NYX cosmetics, remember when I did a video about their Macaron Lippies? Anyway, They have makeup artist adding some awesome pops of colors to your lips and they also have pretty NYX eyeshadows. Pass by their booth #629 to get done up!

If you like the makeup they apply on you or the tools, I believe you can purchase most of it at their booth. Also, tap your badge for a free item... Everyone loves free stuff!

Pretty, pretty colors.

Here's a screen shot I took of their instagram hashtag on my phone #NYXNYCC

Nail Candy Nail Polish Pens
Us gals love getting our nails done. Nail Candy Pens make it so easy for us and here's why:

"Our Nail Polish Pen is unique with its Patented Designer “Micro-Tip”. Each pen includes two salon quality colors, 2 Brushes and 2 Micro-Tips for stylish nail art!"

So many rich colors to choose from, oh my!

Impress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails
Impress nails are perfect for a lady on the run because they're so easy to use. Most of the nails designs I've seen are very pretty and sometimes themed. You just press on the nails that already have adhesive on them and POW!

Check out these ladies working their magic at Comic Con below.

Here's some pretty cool nail art I pulled off the imPRESS Facebook page that can cater to your Halloween or Spider Woman needs too.

Comic Con never ceases to amaze me. Not to sound corny, but there truly is something for everyone.

Hello my beautiful Nubians,

You all know I'm obsessed with lipsticks right? Makeup can be so much fun! I like to live a little and try something bold and a little crazy every so often and that's why I love the NYX Cosmetics Macaron Lippie Lipsticks. Bright purples, blues, turquoise, black, yellows, pink.... so many not so everyday colors that you can get creative with.

I find a lot of people get scared when trying these colors out but don't be! Life should be all about trying new things and putting yourself out there even with makeup, go for it. Plus these colors all have a beautiful satin matte finish which doesn't hurt.

Below you'll see me review my 2 favorite colors from the NYX Macaron Lippie Lipstick collection as of yet, Blue Velvet and Violet.

Enjoy and CLICK HERE to subscribe to my NUBTube for more videos.

Hello Nubians,

I just wanted to share this quick hair tutorial I posted on my instagram today for some fun curls in minutes. Being that us business women are always on the run it's hard to look great everyday, sometimes we need to prep ahead of time

How To Achieve These Curls

What you'll need: Foam rollers and a wave boar bristle brush you can find at your local beauty supply store.

Step 1: For these Farrah Fawcett -esque curls you'll have to use your rollers to roll your hair outward away from you face the night before. You'll have to sleep with these rollers on which in my opinion isn't that uncomfortable at all because they're foam. The tighter you curl them the more volume you'll have the next morning.

Step 2: When you wake up, take out your rollers and brush your hair out with the boar bristle brush. This brush won't destroy your curls but rather add texture and volume to your hair. Get creative with how you brush it out for volume.

Step 3: Run your finger through it and organize the curls. If you'd like you can add some spray for hold (personally I don't, still last fine for me.) Then Wala! Look achieved.

This process when you wake up should take you no more than 10 minutes. Ideal for us working gals am I right?!
