Self expression is pretty amazing isn't it? I think it's the reason why I have a few tattoos and piercings. There's something behind them I find exciting and even a bit secretive sometimes.

I used to have 9 piercing but I recently decided to take my tongue ring out so now I have 8. Recently I got 3 new piercings on my upper right ear as you can see on in this photo... I thought they would be a nice accessory for Spring.

Decorating your piercings is always tons fun! Studs, flowers, hearts, animals, there is so many options. Sometimes a good pair of statement earrings can MAKE a whole outfit. Recently I stumbled upon http://www.freshtrends.com/ and they have great quality trendy and unique body jewelry for all sorts of piercings. It's important to get decent quality stuff so your piercings don't get infected (trust me, I speak from experience you do not want to go down that road).

My tattoos have a lot of meaning to me as well. I think one of my favorites ones is on my forearm and it says "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" which translates into "Life is a Carnival". It's my favorite for two reasons... 1) Because it's my moms favorite song by Celia Cruz and when I close my eyes I can see her dancing and smiling. 2) I truly do believe life is a carnival... You win some, you lose some.
