Netflix And Archie Comics The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Official Poster.

Comicbook & witch lovers are about to get an amazing gift sometime soon with Netflix’s "Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina" based on the Archie Comics with the same title. Something wicked comes this way... the first official poster has dropped courtesy of series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

I love the artwork. It has a bit of a retro-horror movie poster flair to it and gives me high hopes for what the creative team is up too. On the poster, you'll see an outline of Sabrina and her cat, Salem.

Sabrina which was once played by Melissa Joan Hart, will now be played by actress Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men) in a very dark light. The series is based on the comicbook with the same title that focuses more on the dark side of magic, horror, and cruelty. This will be nothing like the "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" show that aired from 1999-2003. Don't expect an intro with bubbly music and multiple quirky wardrobe changes here. Aunts Hilda and Zelda will be no walk in the park either.

I believe Archie Comics fans, horror fans, and witchcraft fans are going to be over the moon with delight. I've read all of the comic books and don't want to give any spoilers away for those who haven't read them... but I will say they're very good.

In honor of the fact that this show is "Coming Soon" I wanted to say goodbye for now to "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" with these fun gifs. Goodbye to endless wardrobe changes, Goodbye Ms. Nice Witch, Goodbye Sweet Harvey, Goodbye genuinely loving aunts... Goodbye for now. I'm guessing we won't get a Britney Spears cameo either... Maybe Lady Gaga instead! One can dream.
