Her Universe Fashion Show At San Diego Comic-Con!
Geek Fashion is so much fun! The Her Universe Fashion Show happened yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con. Designers got to compete with their original “geek couture” designs to win the opportunity to design a Her Universe fashion collection with Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein for Hot Topic.
The fashion shows theme was "milestones". This October will be the 25th anniversary of "The Nightmare Before Christmas." and Ashley Eckstein wore the most appropriate dress to celebrate that you could have ever imagined.
The dress weighs 40 pounds and features about 500 Jack Skellington Funko Pop! heads. Eckstein worked with her friend Andrew MacLaine, to create the one-of-a-kind dress. She looked stunning in it. Everything from her hair to her makeup was spectacular. This must have been such a prideful moment for her.

I loved all of the photos I saw floating around on Instagram using the #heruniversefashionshow hashtag. Cheers to Ashley Eckstein and all the ladies that participated in the design contest for such a successful night! There's something special about fashion in the geek world. There is a huge attention to detail and silhouettes. There is a lot of risks. It all came together beautifully.
