Fortunately I received my memo telling me that messy/greasy hair is somewhat "in" because I sure had a case of it earlier today ha ha.

Today was one of those days where you really don't want to roll out of bed, but you know you have to. I went on a mission looking for red pumps/wedges but wasn't very successful. I'm not looking for anything too specific, but rather for a style that will grab my attention.

I went to Duane Reade sometime during the day and I saw this color "jade/jade" from Wet n Wild for $1.99. I thought I'd take a quick picture for everyone so you can know what some of your options are.

Its not as creamy as the Chanel one. This has more of a shimmer to it,I really like how it looks. I haven't tried it yet but Wet n Wild always amazes me with the quality for there price.

I also took a few outfit shots during the day.

Wearing Leopard Cardigan a gift handed down from my mom, A basic black tee from H&M, Red skinny Jeans by Tripp NYC, Military style boots.

I got this bag below a very, very long time ago with my cousin while shopping in a local store. I always thought it was really cute and funny, I found it today while searching through my closet.

P.S I have finally decided to go a little darker with my hair.

P.P.S Thanks to everyone who has shouted me out on there blogs about the giveaway. You are awesome!

I'm going out to dinner with a few girlfriends tonight and wanted to make this post before I leave.

Wearing gla.MAR.ous Zipper Headband, Miley/Max Azria leggings, Alice and Olivia Heels, New York and Company purse, and a long hoodie from a random boutique

I'm not sure If all of you watch Gossip Girl But when Dan told Blair to lose the headband in this week's episode he was TOTALLY OFF! I personally feel and I'm sure most of you can agree that a headband or any sort of head apparel can make an outfit. I can probably wear an all black outfit with a huge black bow on a head and WA LA! Fierce

Head apparel was a big part of New York Fashion week. Here are a few examples out of many you can find

Marc by Marc Jacobs
Betsey Johnson
Alexander Wang
Twenty8Twelve from London Fashion Week

I incorporated my boyfriends Jade necklace into my outfit today. I like wearing it because its one of his family treasures so it makes me feel special =).

I've seen in a few Magazines and in an article of Who What Wear that you can see here Jade nails. I think there really something different from the usual darker colors a lot of us slowly transition to for fall. I'm definitely going to try this out.

Chanel has the pink jade as well but I'm going for the green.

Another Item I like for Fall are long cloaks/long sweaters, sort of like the long hoodie I'm wearing above. I guess we're all still going through Vampire Mania even though most of the Hot modern ones don't wear cloaks only Dracula does but I still like them a lot.

Ciao XOXO

OO and Thank you to Maria from Chicisimo for featuring me on her site. If you aren't familiar with Chicisimo check it out there pretty great.

And P.S to those of you who have received your gla.MAR.ous headbands thanks for your thank you letters they make me smile, I would love to keep hearing your feedback or seeing pictures.

This past week was sort of jam packed. I'm going to put this Fashion Week craziness behind me for now, I wanted to make an outfit post.

Over this weekend I was catching up with my boyfriend mostly, I hadn't seen him in about 2 weeks because I was always doing something! Feels nice to be back in my Zone.

I purchased a head mannequin and named her Elizabeth, She's really pretty and exotic.

On another note I have no idea what I want to do with my hair! Color wise or what kind of cut or style either. I'm open to suggestions so leave your thoughts and I'll get back to you.

Hope you all of to a great start to your week xoxo.

This past Thursday for Fashion Night Out was pretty crazy. I spent the day with Mary from gla.MAR.ous . We had a nice lunch at Gingers which is a great little Chinese restaurant on 7th avenue. I would recommend it they have great lunch specials and a decent happy hour. After lunch we went to a small park by 14th and 8th and spoke a little about work and our personal lives which is always fun and filled with laughs.

I'm wearing : H&M blazer, Topshop t-shirt, Lace stockings from Forever 21, American Apparel leather skirt, Boots from Beverly Boutique with DIY stud belt

Marys wearing: L.A.M.B hoodie, Shoes from a Boutique in Queens, Zana di Jeans

I was thinking about how this is always such a adventure filled week in NYC. Even if you don't have tickets for shows its always great and exciting to go around the tents and see all the models and the great street fashion. I remember in past events there even use to be vans a few blocks away giving free manicures and goodie bags etc. There are a lot of things you might find necessary to carry around. I think my most important items for a week that requires so much walking are..

A reliable pair of heels/boots. By reliable I mean make sure you can stand in them for at least 10 hours with out crying.

A fashionable/embellished pair of flats. I don't want my feet to end hating me. We all love to look gorgeous and glam in our heels but there is a point when enough is enough and you better make sure you have Epsom salt at home to drench your puppies!

Lastly Coffee. I find that Starbucks are becoming harder and harder to find. When I use to work on 39th and Broadway they were everywhere, I suppose in certain areas not so much.

** and also P.S I don't go anywhere without my blackberry and camera so that's a must for me everywhere.

I ended up going to barneys for FNO. It was pretty nice, complimentary champagne, appetizers flowing all over the place as there was everywhere. I snapped action shots, Enjoy!

One of the first things I saw when I walked in was the Wool + The Gang. This is where I saw such a diverse group sitting on couches and learning to knit. People were making squares for a giant blanket that's going to be auctioned to benefit the National September 11th Memorial/Museum

On the 6th floor I met the Lovely Maria Cornejo. She was extremely nice, such a sweet heart. While I was talking to her I told her I blog on my spare time and she asked for my card mentioning her daughter likes keeping up with fashion blogs. If your not familiar with her line you can click here. Definitely worth looking at! I was very in love with a jumpsuit displayed on a mannequin from her line.

On the 7th floor I was able to snap this picture of model Coco Rocha getting interviewed. You got to make your very own flip book and make videos with her. Shes a beauty.

Here you see Loomstate artist hand painting Fashion Night Out T-shirts which I thought was pretty awesome.

Isabel + Ruben were present on the 2nd floor signing copies of "Isabel Toledo: Fashion from the Inside Out"

I was honestly taken by what a sweetheart Alexander Wang was on the 7th floor! I am such a fan of his work and he was just stopping for everyone it was so adorable.

Manolo Blahnik was on the 4th floor signing shoes and T-shirts as well as greeting people.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen showed up at 9 p.m on the Men's third floor for "The Row" but it was insanely packed I didn't really get to see them. On the bright side while I was leaving the Olsen twins Madness I bumped into the gorgeous Amy from Midtown Girl. I heard the Olsen's were easier to see at Bergdorf Goodman earlier, I wish I would have gone! There are so talented.

There was a lot more going on which you could check out here. Hope you enjoyed my coverage.

xoxo
