I'd like to start out this post by giving you all a quick snap shot of my hair and a kiss to all my readers! I really hope you like it. Recently i asked a lot of you for your advice and my main response was to go darker so I did. I'm extremely pleased with it.

My brother worked in the Big Apple Comic Con for a few days and he brought me back a copy of "Wizards Michael Turner Tribute Edition". I always liked comics growing up, with two older brothers it's easy to get into things like comics and wrestling ha ha.

Michael Turner was a incredible artist who unfortunitly passed away in 2008. He was mostly known for Fathom, Superman, Batman, Witchblade, and various covers for DC and Marvel Comics. I took some pictures of the book to share some of his artwork with you.

If you want to see a cool post about comic books and fashion go visit the totally awesome Glendy's blog Style Amor to see great outfits she came up with.

One of my new goals is to invest money into a nice Nikon camera. I went to this awesome fashion show but wish I would have captured better images. The models were also walking sort of fast ha ha.

Kristie Foster of KrisTEES and Cynthia Radalj of Candy Plum boutique are definitely putting Astoria, Queens on the Fashion map. After doing a splendid job on Fashion Night Out, These two boutique owners have joined forces yet again to bring the "Second Annual Astoria Fashion Show" held at Central Lounge.

Not only in my personal opinion is Central the best venue in Astoria, but they also gave a complimentary glass of wine and a goodie bag with convenient discounts to Local businesses. This was my first time visiting the event and I left impressed.

The doors opened at 6 p.m. and the runway started at 9 p.m where I can guess anywhere from 300-500 people gathered up anticipating the show. Beautiful models took over the runway with what was mostly an 80's fall trends including harem pants, headbands, over sized shirts with creative leggings, and a few metallic pieces.

The show started off with a fun dance segment by Alexandra Ausman and Danielle Sheither which then followed the Candy Plum Collection, and before KrisTEES went on there was more dancing from Hitomi Nozawa with guest Shoh Eshiguro who visited from japan.

Laughter and Mingling was seen all over central lounge that night. I plan to visit and try to cover more events for all of you. Be sure to check out these great designers at Candy Plum and KrisTEES, believe me its worth a look and further more a few satisfying purchases.

xoxo

This dancers outfit was so funky and great. I love her acid dye leggings.

This below is the gla.MAR.ous dress I wore to the IFB event in silver.

Last Night I went to Fashion Astoria Style #2 which was a great runway show Presented by the stores KrisTees and Candy Plum. It was my first time attending this event, this is there second show. I was very impressed and delighted with the outcome. I will have more details for you this upcoming week because I took pictures and I'm just trying to make sure I give everyone credit.

When I was getting ready I decided I wanted something to make a statement but at the same time show some simplicity as strange as that sounds. I chose to wear all black and I'm giving you a sneak peak of a gla.MAR.ous holiday headband which was my statement piece. Since working for gla.MAR.ous I have the perks of wearing a lot of the merchandise and share with you. Clothing will be on online store soon, I'll keep you posted.

Sipping on wine and enjoying a runway is always a good start to your weekend

XOXO

I've been keeping very busy lately. Moving around like a hippie, Attending a lot of great events and even meeting many of you lovely and talented bloggers!

Sometimes though, I do get a little home sick. The Fashion world and industry can easily consume your life! Especially if you have a serious passion for it. I cant really complain though I do love it, it fascinates me.

It's nice to go out and celebrate with your hometown friends. It was my Cuzzy's Birthday and we went out to celebrate at Cain in the Meat Packing District. The club was nice inside, but the DJ was NOT my cup of tea. I still had a good time, I was with people I love.

Getting my last look in the mirror before I leave, Don't act like you don't do it!

Me and the B Day girl sipping on some beers. FYI I am a beer and wine girl but vodka is very yummy as well.
Girls Love There Gadgets Everywhere And Anywhere!

My brother showed me this blog about a month ago. I'm sure some of you might be familiar with it but I'm sure some of you aren't and its really a good laugh.

Some of the worst fashion crimes I've seen can be found on "People of Walmart". Seriously I cant believe these pictures and the ensemble people go out to shop in. I'd like to know what some of your thoughts are.

I thought I was daring but JEEZZZZ these people take the title right out of my hands!! Here are some of my personal favorites on the site.

Hence LMFAO! Be sure to check them out

October started out with a Bang! I'd like to wish my Lovely Boyfriend, My friend Pam, And my Cousin Lizmar a Happy Birthday! So exciting to have so many celebrations.

My girlfriend Pam had a BBQ on a terrace in Jersey City. We ate burgers, hot dogs, and enjoyed strawberry cupcakes with pink champagne for dessert.

Wearing red vintage blazer, Afaze clutch, DIY ripped stockings, military boots, Unyx Dress, Forever 21 sunglasses

It was a gorgeous view and a marvelous time.

On another note I ordered some cool funky 80's sunglasses from a store on eBay. I forgot the name, but if any of you are Curious I could look it up. I had my boyfriend George model them for me, What do you think? You like?

I'm pretty smitten with them I must say.

Lastly I would like to invite anyone close to queens or willing to travel to a Fashion Show that will be held in "Central Lounge". The show will feature Independent designers and I'm very excited to see whats hitting there runway. I will be covering this event so check back in.
