Hey Everyone,

Yesterday I had a nice relaxing day. I had spent the previous day in the ER with my Boyfriend because he was feeling under the weather, so I was glad to share a nice walk and dinner with him.

I was feeling random so I pierced my nose! I hope you all like it, I'm suppose to wear this big ring for 2 weeks. I'm anxious to change it to either a smaller stud or a cute hoop.

I adore my gold Cowboy boots <3 I was having some fun time on paint haha.

Boots: Beverly Boutique

Plaid Top: Forever 21

Shakira's latest single is "She Wolf/La Loba". I haven't seen the video in English yet but I just bumped into the Spanish version and I was in awe. I love her whole ensemble, Check out her outfits! I always love all her videos because she finds ways to make them so different from other artist without looking like shes trying to hard.

Love the Balmain's with her skin tone body suit. Enjoy!!

P.S Her one legged body suit with her stomach showing = <3
Woooo Go Colombia!! =)

Marc Jacobs has released two new political T-shirts with a rather straight forward message "I pay my taxes, I want my rights". The T-shirt on the right with the lesbian couple is my favorite. They are wearing little black dresses and heels, classic! You can find these shirts at 385 Bleecker Street for $24. I think I'm going to try to get my hands on one. What do you think?

Yesterday my boyfriend George and I took a trip a little over an hour to visit my little niece Alexandra for her 3rd birthday.
This is actually his debut in NubiasNonsense you might see him here and there through my entries. That's us waiting for the 6 train to go to the Bronx. Waiting for the train on the weekend is such a drag! but I felt I had to be present to this event.

Meet Alexandra the princess, Last year I actually hosted her 2nd birthday with a Strawberry Shortcake theme but this year my sister kept it more low key. Alexandra picked out her own outfit which she was so very excited to wear. Look at that purple tutu skirt such exquisite taste! Maybe she'll take after her Aunt ;-)
We got there a little later than I had hoped for due to train trouble so the party was almost over. She was tired after a while.

We played with balloons, dolls, tea cups, hair dryers, Disney princesses, and all sorts of thing! I love her and I'm sure this wont be the last time you see her cute little face either.
xoxo

Saturday night I went to M2 Ultra Lounge in Manhattan NYC, which was formerly known as Mansion with a few girlfriends. The Club is big and had a House room and a Hip-Hop room, I was mostly in the house room. It was a fun night full of good drinks, dancing and laughs.

I wore this great comfy and beautiful top I purchased at H&M a while ago. I love the way I can make it go off the shoulders and its almost like a very mini dress. The parrots are covered in sequence which gives it this nice glow. The was absolutely obsessed with these shoes when I first purchased them online at Charlotte Russe. They are Loud and Neon. Shoes that pop make me smile =).

I have always liked Isaac Mizrahi. He's entertaining and hilarious if you ask me. Remember his movie Unzipped for his Fall 2004 line? I actually watched it in college.

Issac has ressurected his popularity within the last few years by TV appearances(i.e Bravo: The Fashion Show, Sex and the City, Ugly Betty, Food Network etc.) being the creative director of Liz Claiborne, his line at target and his own high end line.

His show on QVC is suppose to consist of selling, being a talk show and a some what reality show as well. I definitely think he has the attitude and drive to make the show interesting, hes snappy and even comes across as rude sometimes which will attract an audience.

So look out for him on Issac Mizrahi Live. Hes on a role lately!

If there were a secret garden,
What would it comprise?
Fragrant flowers, a babbling brook, butterflies?
Dragonflies, birds, and bees, there would be all of these

But most of all, within ‘that place’,
Tranquil peace and serenity await;
Ever there for me and you to relax and renew.
So every morning before you start,
Visit the ‘secret garden’ of your heart.

-Linda Wall Hall

I found that poem and thought it was appropriate. I think we're all in need of visiting the garden of our hearts sometimes.

I had some free time on my hands and just went on Polyvore to play around.
Stud mania
Stud mania by Nubia_C featuring Miss Selfridge

It's my small homage to studs. I LOVE studs, I feel a small accessory can give your whole outfit the edge it was missing. I'm excited there such a hot item for Fall 09 in accessories. Designers such as Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and Miu Miu all incorporated them on the runway.

I really want to get myself a pair of pumps with studded heels like these:

Definitely wish list material! I'm working on them as well as a DIY project.

I'm already collecting studded goodies and can't wait to show you all in my future post.

XOXO

Honoring there lines "The Row" and "Elizabeth and James", Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have been acknowledged by The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

These sisters will receive their accolade from CFDA president Diane Von Furstenberg in NYC this October. I think they are lovely and I've grown up watching them and how they have evolved from baby actresses to fashionistas so its pretty cool. I remember when the New York times declared Mary Kate a fashion Icon. You go girls!

I had actually heard some negative critism about this but I dont agree. What do you think about them in the Fashion Industry?

Angela Lindvall looks divine in the ad's for Jimmy Choo's Fall 2009/10 collection. Terry Richardson the photographer indeed did a fantastic job. I am already itching with curiosity to see what he's incorporating to his H&M collaboration. These pictures are pouring with desire and I feel like the shoes are literally popping out the pictures! ( or at least I wish).

You all have to listen to this song I thought is was appropriate for the occasion and its really catchy:

Enjoy the pictures.

Lindsay Lohan Is The New Face For Fornarina. I have to confess she looks pretty stunning in these pictures from what shes been portraying of herself recently. I miss the Lindsay from Mean Girls but shes long gone.

Fornarina described Lindsay as "Young, beautiful, eclectic, with great talent and a great personality, Lindsay Lohan immediately appeared as one of the few in the show-biz able to represent the glamorous style of Fornarina."

I Like what I've seen in the line so far and the red shoes shes wearing in the pics= LOVE for me =).

Here are a few photos from the shoot.

I am so very excited to see this. Classy, Intelligent, Stylish, Fierce and In charge. I am talking about no other then Anna Wintour. Did you know her nickname was "Nuclear Wintour"? and "Miranda Priestly" played by Meryl Streep in the Devil Wears Prada is highly believed to be based on her seeing as the book was written by one of her former assistants Lauren Weisberger. Known for her extraordinary eye for upcoming trends, this documentary The September Issue: Anna Wintour Film should be nothing short of fabulous!

Enjoy!

I get complimented on my makeup very often which I would like to thank people for. I'm really not any sort of professional,l I just end up winging most of it and luckily it comes out pretty well. I wanted to share with you my most basic daily make up choices.

Let me introduce you to my Betsey Johnson clutch which I converted into a make-up bag. It is full of wonderful things really, but the most important ones for me are the ones shown above.

In this picture you will be able to spot:
Mascara: Almay
Eye Shadow: Lancome
Brow Set: MAC
Bronzer: Bare Mineral
Creme Eyeliner: Wet n Wild
Liquid Eyeliner: Loreal
And a big Bare Minerals brush as well as a small MAC angle brush.

I work mostly on my eyes more then anything else. I like this Mascara for anyone with brown eyes, it makes them pop. My trick with Mascara is I just keep playing around with it from side to side and up and down also I apply it twice.

For eye shadows I mostly Keep it neutral unless I'm going somewhere special. On my regular days you will catch me with very light white shades or baby pink. Apply like eye shadows around the inner corners of your eyes to make your eyes pop.

The Mac brow set I really like a lot. I'm not a big fan of using pencils and this saves me the trouble of dying my eyebrows all the times. It wasn't used in these pictures but you can see an example from this old post here.

I really don't use bronzer every day but the Bare Minerals one is really good for your skin and I recommend it. I was told you can even sleep with it, even though I don't do that either but you get the point.

The Wet n Wild Creme Eyeliner I just discovered recently as well and it really does the job! Trust me, I use to use the one from MAC and I decided to try this one and I can honestly say it works just as well for me. I like this better then the pencil because for me this last all day. It also saves you a lot of money compared to MAC and is just as good in quality. *also comes with mini brush*

Liquid eyeliner does me justice because it does not smudge like pencil and last all day. I like this specific one because of the sponge tip it brings which makes it easier to handle for me. If you like liquid eyeliner the one from Sephora is pretty good and very affordable.

I like to Use the MAC angle brush for dramatic effects under my eye that I like to do often. I find some brushes are to thin and don't spread the color very well, this one is a winner. The Bare Mineral ones spreads the bronzer very well also unlike some cheaper brushes I tried. **MAKE SURE TO CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES OFTEN ITS IMPORTANT!!**

I'm trying to work on a video once I get better quality for recording. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I use all sorts of brands and have plenty of suggestions.

XOXO

I was watching a YouTube video of Valentino Fall 2009/10 and besides noticing the majority of his line was sexy mini black dresses the looked FAB! I also noticed all the Mask the models were wearing.

Something about covering the eyes I think has always created a mysterious and appealing illusion. I spotted this picture of Lady GaGa out and about this week showing off this:

Shes always so daring, I love it! I actually feel she makes it look graceful. I think she had a lot of influence on the runway this year. Looking different isn't a horrible thing I think more people should push limits and be fashion forward. I would sport one of these to an event, it wouldn't have to be a masquerade. It takes one person to start a movement, In Japan they use all sorts of mask so frequently. So I was wondering would sport one? The ones on the runway are a tad exaggerated but I think the Lady GaGa one is fine or some I've seen out in stores.

Check out this lace one Audrey Hepburn wore in her movie: How To Steal A Million

Or would you just wear a cat over your head? ha ha

Enjoy the Valentino Video
